UNIQUE COLLECTION METHODS
FINAL NOTICE OF COLLECTION
After all applicable insurance carriers have been billed and have
responded we transfer any balance to patient responsibility. They
begin to receive monthly statements with increasingly insistent
Dunning messages. After an account is patient responsibility for
60 days and the patient has not made any payments, set up a payment
plan or corresponded in some way, we initiate our Final Notice
of Collection (FNC).
This offers the patient two methods of payment; pay in full or
set up on a pre-determined payment plan. Some clients are CareCredit™ participants, call for more details.
We encourage the charging of interest on accounts that are older
than 31 days.
After the FNC is sent, the patient has 15 days to respond. If
they do not communicate with us, we send you a copy of the FNC
to give us further instructions; continue statements, send to a
collection agency or the credit bureau.
