Jean Bourque, MBS, President
– under dual cooperation of
St. Catherine’s Hospital in Kenosha, WI, and Wisconsin Health
Organization (WHO) of Milwaukee, WI, Jean was hired as IPA Coordinator.
Contract negotiating, policy generation and implementation, issuing
stock certificates to shareholder physicians, and physically reviewing
all claims submitted for accuracy, program compliance and authorizing
payment. Working with the QA director and identifying over utilizers
was also part of the position. After two years she was promoted
to Chief Administrating Officer, reporting only to the M.D. president.
Jean has taught medical terminology and billing at an Illinois vocational school.
In 1991 she began Plexus.
Her expertise extends to family practice, internal medicine, psychiatry,
OB/GYN, general surgery, optometry, chiropractic, DME,
geriatrics, podiatry, osteopathic medicine, nurse practitioners,
dental, neurology, OT, PT, ST and pediatrics plus statistical accumulation
for medical related entities engaging in managed care contracting.
Jean has achieved her certification with the Wisconsin Medical
Society for Medical Business Specialist (MBS). She has a B.S. in
Health Administration. She also is the Plexus Privacy Officer and
handles our in-office compliance policies with the Office of the
Inspector General’s guidelines and HIPAA.
The marketing of new physician clients and “hands on” for
the posting of services and payments is also a part of her role.
Jean continually searches the market for new, high tech ways to
streamline the business and offer state-of-the-art services to
her clients.
